When it comes to “Halloween,” the seminal horror classic from John Carpenter, the image that sticks with horror movies fans through the years has always been the Michael Myers mask. Throughout the “Halloween” movies, from the original “Halloween” to the “Rob Zombie Halloween” up through the new “Halloween,” the evolution of Michael Myers has been a slow, scary progression throughout the last 40 years of slasher movies.
Even when they’re not explained in the movie, this killer always seems to find a suspiciously similar mask during every “Halloween” movie he appears in, from the first “Halloween,” to the various “Halloween” sequels, the remake, and finally the new “Halloween” reboot. Michael Myers’ mask is rarely the same between films, but every trailer, clip, and scene we’ve seen of him, is always terrifying no matter how he’s masked.
