South Korea's overall industrial output inched down last month...mainly due to a fall in auto production.
According to Statistics Korea on Wednesday, industrial output in September decreased by 1-point-3 percent from the previous month.
The agency said less production in the mining and manufacturing industries caused the downfall.
Auto production in particular fell by almost 5-percent... due to lower domestic demand.
In contrast, equipment investment rebounded in September, gaining 3-percent... after falling for the sixth consecutive month in August.
This rebound was mainly due to increased investment in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
