5,200 US Troops to Be
Sent to the Southern Border Dubbed "Operation
Faithful Patriot," The troops include
engineers, aviation
and medical personnel. Military police are also
among those deployed
for the "force protection" mission. The troops are being deployed in
response to a caravan of about
4,000 migrants from Central America. The migrants are in
southern Mexico,
about 1,000 miles
from the U.S. border. President Donald
Trump tweeted
on Monday, There are currently
2000 members of the
National Guard
assisting at the border.
