Ola, Uber drivers strike for 6th straight day; drivers demand higher rates due to fuel hike
  • 5 years ago
As Ola and Uber drivers' relentless strike enters day 6 in Mumbai, lakhs of commuters continue to face problems as the fares have doubled and tripled due to most cars going off road. The strike was announced in Delhi too, but the situation there is reportedly much better than that in Mumbai. Due to the strike, over 95% of the cabs are unavailable and the average waiting time for a cab has also increased to a whopping 23-25 minutes. The drivers have demanded hike in fares due to the rising fuel rate and also demanded other incentives. As the strike is set to worsen, Aam Aadmi is set to be the worst affected due to the cab problems.
