Former 'comfort woman' Ha Jeom-yeon dies at 97

A Korean woman... who was sexually enslaved by the Japanese military during World War Two... has died at the age of 97.
Her name: Ha Jeom-yeon.
She was one of the few surviving victims... known euphemistically as "comfort women."
The shelter where Ha lived, the House of Sharing, in Gyeonggi-do Province, said she passed away Friday at around 6 a.m.
She was taken by the Japanese military... to China, Taiwan and Indonesia where they forced her to work as a sex slave.
Ha returned to Korea in 1946.
There are only 27 survivors left out of the 240 officially registered with the South Korean government.
