County auditor findings about Henderson constable echo Review-Journal investigation

Clark County auditors found that Henderson Constable Earl Mitchell requested $85,000 more for his employees than he paid for their salaries. The audit mirrors findings of a Las Vegas Review-Journal investigation. The paper questioned Mitchell writing himself checks ... withdrawing money from ATMs and paying for travel with county funds. Auditors noted that many of the items purchased with county funds appear personal. Mitchell declined to discuss the findings.
