청와대, 북미정상회담 내년 개최설에도 "김정은 연내 답방 기대"

An official at the nation's top office says the Moon administration is hoping the second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will happen without a hitch.
If not,... Cheongwadae still hopes the much anticipated Moon-Kim summit in Seoul does take place by the end of this year,... as agreed upon the two leaders in Pyeongyang last month.
The statement was in response to a recent report that an anonymous source from Washington said Trump and Kim might meet after January.
Seoul's presidential office pointed out that was merely speculation yet to be confirmed.... and that North Korea and the United States are currently exchanging various ideas.
Cheong Wa Dae expressed hope before... that Trump and Kim would meet right after the U.S. midterm elections in November.
It added a declaration ending the Korean War would make Kim Jong-un's visit to Seoul much more meaningful, and would lead to deeper conversations and more conclusive agreements.
