Horse racing, ingrained in Tibetan and Mongolian culture for nearly a thousand years, has been a significant part of the lives of people in those regions. Ejian Cairang has been racing horses since he was eight years old and treating his horse as a family member. Unlike most of the horse trainers, who didn’t receive a proper education, Ejian graduated from college and chose to make a living from horse racing.
