RAWALPINDI: Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa here at the General Headquarters.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interest, including regional security issues, were discussed during the meeting.

The army chief said that Pakistan will continue to positively contribute towards regional peace and stability.

In his remarks, the Qatari foreign minister acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s achievements in the fight against terrorism and continued efforts for peace and stability in the region.

A day earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan invited Qatari investment in all sectors of Pakistan’s economy, especially in agriculture, livestock and energy.

He met Qatar’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani who called on him in Islamabad.
