At least 50 people were mowed down by a running train in Amritsar, Punjab, in India while they went to watch Ravana idol on the occasion of Dussehra festival.

Onlookers were standing on the railway line and watching the Ravana idol burn while the train came and mowed them down.

Crowds couldn't hear the train honks as the loud noise of the crackers concealed the noise of the train horn.

In the video, a crowd can be seen gathered watching as the Ravana Idol burns at a distance.

The crowd was so packed that it extended towards the railway line.
