ISLAMABAD: The government is gearing up for an increase in electricity price in a meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Asad Umer.

According to details, the meeting of ECC is underway where a summary will be presented regarding the rise of Rs3.75 per unit to the existing price of electricity.

The PTI government has twice deferred the decision of power tariffs hike, however, the move can not be delayed any more considering the conditions of International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan program, as per the experts.
