Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed his officials to provide an assistance of Rs 1000 along with 50 kg rice and 2 litre kerosene to affected families and the remaining assistance of Rs 2000 will be transferred to their bank accounts. The cyclone and subsequent flood has affected more than 57 lakh people in 16 districts across the state.
