Ever since I started the hobby I’ve been wanting to get this tarantula species. Why? because it’s that tarantula everybody knows and thinks of when they hear the word “tarantula”. I’ve also been getting countless amount of comments saying I have to get one. Unfortunately, this species is not a common one amongst our local tarantula community. In fact, after almost 3 years of keeping tarantulas, I’ve only come across them being sold maybe 3-times at most. Even so, at a ridiculously high price. However, I did make it a point that I will eventually get one. I attended a reptile expo a while back and happen to come across this one.. so I bought it.

(Hoping you did not read this before watching the video and guessing the species), the tarantula here is a Theraphosa stirmi, the Burgundy Goliath Birdeater!
