NewsX-Sunday Guardian exclusive: Pakistan seeks financial bailout of $7 BN from IMF
  • 6 years ago
It’s a NewsX Sunday Guardian exclusive. While Pakistan seeks financial assistance bailout package from the international monetary fund, it has been revealed that Pakistan's army is sitting on assets worth $20 billion. While the people of Pakistan suffer due to the ongoing economic crisis, the army stands unaffected due to the billions of assets owned by them. Their military activity is controlled indirectly through funds from different companies. Yesterday, the Pakistani army warned of attacking India 10 times, if another surgical strike is held on the terror camps based in the country. So the question is, if Pakistan needs financial assistance and is facing serious economic problems, why is the army holding billions of assets and using it for promoting cross border terrorism.
