हामी यो हप्ता दूतावासमा विभिन्न कार्यक्रमहरुको आयोजना गरेर "वायु प्रदूषण सचेतना सप्ताह" मनाउँदैछौं। We are observing "Air Quality Awareness Week" here at U.S. Embassy Kathmandu.
वातावरण प्रदूषण जनस्वास्थ्यको सवाल मात्रै होइन -- यो जवाफदेहिता र पारदर्शितासँग सम्बन्धित मामिला पनि हो। सबैजनाले आफ्नो वरिपरीको वायुको गुणस्तरको बारेमा सही जानकारी पाउनुपर्दछ ताकि आफ्नो कृयाकलाप र सुरक्षित हुने विभिन्न कार्यहरु गर्न सकियोस्।
काठमाडौंको वायुको गुणस्तर बारे जानकारी दिने उद्देश्यले हामीले "सफा हावा" नामक मोबाइल एप्लिकेसनको निर्माण गरेका छौं, र नेपाल सरकारसँग वातावरण मन्त्रालय संचालित विभिन्न वायु प्रदूषण मापन केन्द्रलाई पनि एक ठाउँमा जानकारी उपलब्ध गराउनेगरी ल्याउन काम गरीरहेका छौं। तपाईंको विचारमा यी केन्द्रहरु कहाँ कहाँ हुनुपर्छ जस्तो लाग्दछ?
Air pollution is not only a public health concern - it is also an issue of accountability and transparency. Everyone should be able to access accurate data about the air quality surrounding them, and be able to plan their activities and protect their health accordingly.
To provide accurate information air pollution levels in Kathmandu, we developed an app called "Safa Hawa" – and we are supporting the Government of Nepal to integrate more trusted monitoring stations near you in the future. Download the app, and let us know where you think the new stations should be!
