Prithvi Shaw has been the toast of the nation after making a hundred on his Test debut against the West Indies at Rajkot last week. But the efforts to use the soaring popularity of Prithvi by brands outside his contract list has irked Baseline Ventures, the 18-year-old's talent managers. In fact, Baseline has already sent legal notice to food delivery chain Swiggy and online recharge company Freecharge for using Prithvi's name to derive commercial leverage. Amul, who used an image of Prithvi with the tagline Shawbash, too is under the radar but so far no legal steps have been taken against the firm.
