According to a report by Reutets, on Friday, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was approved by the US Senate in a preliminary vote, following the conclusion of an FBI investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct against the judge. Lawmakers reportedly supported Kavanaugh 51 to 49 in a procedural vote that inched the Senate closer to making a definitive decision on his confirmation. Reuters reports that the full confirmation vote could be held as early as Saturday.
