Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Receives Prison Sentence for Tax Evasion The reality star will serve eight months after pleading guilty to several charges in January 2018. He must also complete 500 hours of community service. Prosecutors reportedly had sought a prison sentence of 14 months. Sorrentino and his brother Marc were indicted back in September 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring
to defraud the U.S. Prosecutors say they both failed to properly pay taxes on $8.9 million in income from 2010 to 2012. In April 2017, the Sorrentino's were indicted on additional charges, including tax evasion and falsifying records. Marc, who also pled guilty to aiding a false and fraudulent tax return, was sentenced to two years in jail.
