President Trump on Thursday retweeted a post saying his election was “an American revolution.”

President Trump on Thursday retweeted a 2016 post saying his election was "an American revolution."  It read: "While armed with the power of our Vote, we proudly & peacefully revolted. Never doubt this was an American revolution."  Notably, Trump, on a number of occasions, has equated his surprise victory to a movement.  Roughly a week before taking office, he tweeted: "I win an election easily, a great 'movement' is verified, and crooked opponents try to belittle our victory with FAKE NEWS. A sorry state!"  "It all begins today! I will see you at 11:00 A.M. for the swearing-in. THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES - THE WORK BEGINS!" Trump wrote on the day of his inauguration in 2017.
