Mother hen terrorises boy who gets too close to her chicks

A defensive mother hen attacked a boy who tried to get too close to her chicks.
Footage captured by Nand Kumar on September 29 shows a couple of chicks that had fallen into a pit dug in the backyard of a house in a village in Malappuram district, Kerala, India.
As they were unable to climb up, a boy who lived nearby got down into the pit to bring them up.
But it did not matter that the poor boy was only trying to help them.
The stressed-out mother hen, who was keeping an anxious watch, decided that she had had enough.
She flew down to the pit and launched an attack on the boy thinking that he was trying to harm her chicks.
Taken aback, the terrified boy called his own mother for his rescue.
