Congress condemns police action on protesting farmers at Delhi-UP border

Kisan Kranti Padyatra: At least 70,000 farmers from several states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana assembled at the Delhi-UP border on Tuesday to protest against the NDA government's anti-farmer policies. The protest turned violent after protesting farmers tried to break barricades and run tractors over them. The police used teargas shells and water cannons to disperse the violent protesters. Section 144 was also imposed.
