Korea's trade minister addresses trade uncertainties, revised KORUS deal

Following the signing of the revised bilateral free trade agreement with the U.S. last week,.... Korea's trade minister Kim Hyun-chong on Monday.... addressed some of the uncertainties regarding trade.
On the possible imposition of U.S. tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, as well as, automobiles... he said the ministry is aiming to gain assurances from the U.S. to exempt Korea from the measure.
He explained the ministry is closely monitoring U.S. negotiation process with Japan, Canada, the European Union... as he sees their outcomes affecting the timing and severity of the tariff measure.
Kim added,.... the ministry will be submitting the revised FTA to the National Assembly by Tuesday to get started on the ratification process.
