The government of Andhra Pradesh is set to launch ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestam’, an unemployment allowance scheme on Tuesday. A review meeting was held on Monday in this regard. Information Technology minster of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh said, “As of now 6 lakh people applied for the allowance. 208,000 applications are verified. Of the grievances, only 2630 are pending. “Today a token amount of Rs 1 was deposited in the accounts of 1,87,000 beneficiaries to check whether the payment gateway is properly working or not. Balance Rs 999 will be deposited on 3rd October. 20,000 more beneficiaries will be given the allowance on 4th October,” added the IT minister. Arrangements have been made in all 175 constituencies to issue certificates to beneficiaries tomorrow, informed Lokesh. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will interact with 400 beneficiaries tomorrow at Amaravati. The beneficiaries have to give their biometrics every month to get the emolument. The scheme is developed with four mechanisms viz. unemployment allowance, skill development training, apprenticeship, coaching for competitive exams. The registration for this scheme is a continuous process. Every month those who enroll till 25th of the month will be getting the allowance in next month. Lokesh alleged that the opposition party is making smear campaign against the scheme, only with malicious intentions. He asked the people not to believe any rumours. He reminded that in case one has any doubts, he can call 1100 then the enumerator will directly come to the doorstep and resolve the issue.
