Indonesia's Location On The Ring Of Fire Is Why It Has So Many Earthquakes

According to a report by CNN, on Friday, another powerful earthquake struck Indonesia, followed by a tsunami, leaving nearly 400 people dead and hundreds of others injured. The Southeast Asian archipelago is prone to earthquakes due its being located on the Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanoes and fault lines in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. CNN reports the area spans a staggering 25,000 miles and is where most of the earthquakes occur.
