US Senate delays final vote of Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh

US Senate has called for a delay of up to a week before Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination is put to a vote in the full Senate. Earlier, the Senate Judiciary Committee split along party lines with 11 Republican members backing Kavanaugh and all 10 Democrats voting against Kavanaugh. However, in the last minute, Arizona Republican Jeff Flake asked for a delay of up to a week for an FBI probe into the allegations against Kavanaugh. Flake's decision changed after two women cornered him in an elevator on Friday, after he had announced he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
