South Korea has the second-highest average smartphone prices in the world.
According to Strategy Analytics,.... the wholesale average selling price of smartphones in South Korea this year came to five-hundred-thirty US dollars, around a seventy-dollar jump from last year.
That figure is second only to Japan, where the average smartphone costs six-hundred-50 dollars,... *double the global average of around two-hundred-80 dollars.
The industry watcher said the high prices can be attributed to the strong popularity of high-end flagships such as Apple’s iPhone.
