Trump: China Has 'Total Respect' For My 'Very, Very Large Brain'

President Trump on Wednesday weighed in on the current state of US-China relations.

President Trump on Wednesday asserted that China has "total respect" for "Donald Trump's very, very large brain."
The comment came in reference to his stance on trade, leading to new tariffs on billions of dollars of Chinese imports into the U.S.
"China now — put on $250 billion, and they're paying 25% on that. They're paying billions and billions — this has never happened to China," Trump told reporters at a press conference.
He also doubled down on his claim that China is trying to interfere in 2018 midterms.
When a reporter asked him the basis for his assertion, Trump replied: "We have evidence. It will come out. I can't tell you now. But it didn't come out of nowhere, that I can tell you."
Hours prior, at a United Nations Security Council briefing, Trump stated that China does not "want me, or us, to win because I am the first President ever to challenge China on trade. And we are winning on trade."
"We are winning at every level," Trump added. "We don't want them to meddle or interfere in our upcoming election."
