Supreme Court imposes curbs on use of Aadhaar; Is it big win for your right to privacy?

The Supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of Aadhaar in its latest judgment . The constitution bench headed by chief justice Dipak Misra said that Aadhaar empowers the marginalized sections of society and gives them an identity. Aadhaar is also different from other id proofs as it can’t be duplicated. However in an attempt to strengthen the centre’s flagship programme apex court struck down some key sections of the Aadhar bill including section 47.
