Five foreigners rescued by IAF from Lahaul-Spiti

Five foreign nationals from Denmark and Norway were rescued by Indian Air Force chopper from Lahaul-Spiti today. They were stranded in the region from last two days and were airlifted to Kullu. Several districts in Himachal Pradesh have been battered after continuous rains. Three IAF choppers have been deployed for rescue operations. “We will try to airlift and rescue around 150 people today. We will also rescue those stranded in Keylong and nearby areas”, said Kullu DC Yunus Khan.
