U.S. Military Official Has No Plans For Venezuelan Intervention

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump's nominee to lead U.S. military operations in Latin America said that there was no plan under way for any kind of military intervention to address the economic and political crisis in Venezuela. While speaking at his Senate confirmation hearing, Navy Vice Admiral Craig Faller said, "We are not doing anything other than normal prudent planning that a combatant command would do to prepare for a range of contingencies."
