Asia Cup 2018: MS Dhoni's 200th match as captain against Afghanistan ended in a draw

Mahendra Singh Dhoni captained India for the 200th time in the one day international. The Indian Skipper captained India after two long years against Afghanistan in super four match of the Asia Cup at the Dubai international stadium. Dhoni was designated the captain for the match in place of Rohit Sharma who was leading the team in absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli. Rohit Sharma along with Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah and Chahal were given rest against Afghanistan. Dhoni also became the third player to lead their country in 200 or more ODI's after Ricky Ponting of Australia and Stephen Fleming of New Zealand. Dhoni last captained India in the ODI series against New Zealand. Dhoni's 200th match as captain against Afghanistan ended in a draw.
