Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on high alert due to incessant rainfall

Himachal Pradesh has been reeling under flash floods leading to landslides in many districts. On Monday, HP’s town Mandi experienced a rise in water level. Roads also submerged underwater due to increased water level. Deputy Commissioner of Mandi, Rugved Milind Thakur said, “Water-level in the rivers has risen. We are continuously monitoring the situation. Following heavy rainfall alert for today, we have appealed to people to stay indoors and not to go near the rivers.”. Due to continuous incessant rains in many districts of Uttarakhand, flash floods occurred in Kullu and Manali on Monday. The force of flash flood was so extreme that it washed away a car in which multiple people were trapped. Later they were rescued by a tractor. Uttarakhand is dealing with flood like situation as well as landslides in many parts of the state.
