एशिया कप के सुपर 4 में रविवार को बांग्लादेश ने अफगानिस्तान को 3 रन से हरा दिया। 250 रन के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी अफगानिस्तान की टीम 50 ओवर में 7 विकेट पर 246 रन ही बना सकी। आखिरी ओवर में मुस्तफिजुर रहमान की गेंद पर जीत के लिए 8 रन बनाने थे, लेकिन वह 4 रन ही बना सका। इस हार के साथ ही फाइनल में पहुंचने की उसकी उम्मीदें खत्म हो गईं। बांग्लादेश के महमूदुल्लाह को मैन ऑफ द मैच अवॉर्ड दिया गया।
