Lines To Buy New iPhone Are Shorter Than Last Year

Before a new iPhone is released, diehard Apple fans love lining up outside of Apple stores. But this year, lines around the world were shorter than they've been in previous years for the new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. According to Business Insider, at one Apple store in Tokyo, the line was half the size as it was last year. There could be an explanation for the shorter lines though aside from lack of consumer interest. In recent years, Apple has encouraged customers to make pre-orders or schedule in-store pickups instead of launch day walk-ins.
