Electrostatic Active Space Radiation Shielding For Deep Space Missions

This NASA video describes the concept behind active radiation shields for manned spacecraft. Active radiation shields use electromagnetic force to repel radiation away from a space vessel as opposed to current passive shields which attempt to block or absorb radiation with physical mass.
