Dalit leader and BJP lawmaker Udit Raj and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale got furious after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there will not be any arrests without investigation under the SC/ST Act in the state, thus appeasing upper caste groups, which has triggered internal struggle in the Narendra Modi government.

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान के बयान पर उदित राज और रामदास अठावले नाराज हो गए हैं. दोनों नेताओं ने कहा है कि मुख्यमंत्री को बयान वापस लेना चाहिए क्योंकि इससे दलितों में नाराजगी बढ़ेगी. मुख्यमंत्री चौहान ने हाल में एक ट्वीट कर कहा था कि मध्य प्रदेश में एससी-एसटी एक्ट के तहत बिना जांच के गिरफ्तारी नहीं होगी.
