This has been a summit for the political leaders of the two Koreas, so the focus has been on them.
But for sure, there's been a lot of attention on the First Ladies from the South and North, who seemed to cement a friendship over the past three days.
Yoon Jung-min reports.
South Korean First Lady Kim Jung-sook and her North Korean counterpart Ri Sol-ju displayed a fine example of grace and diplomacy during the three day inter-Korean summit in Pyeongyang.
The first ladies of the Korean peninsula spared no time nor effort to get closer to each other and share unforgettable moments that were witnessed by the entire world from the moment the South Korean first couple arrived at Pyeongyang International Airport on Tuesday.

Contrary to what many had expected, North Korea's first couple personally welcomed President Moon and his wife at the airport. From that moment on, the two first ladies became almost inseparable.

With the exception of one visit to Mansudae Art Studio on Wednesday, the two first ladies were seen together in almost all official events, including the unexpected visit to Baekdusan Mountain on Thursday, where Ri gracefully made sure the coat of the South Korean first lady didn't get wet while she was filling a plastic bottle with water from Cheonji Lake.

Stemming from the relationship between Kim and Ri, the two Koreas are also envisioning exchanges in the medical and cultural sectors.

Moreover, their respective backgrounds in music have served as a springboard to further cement their friendship and secure positive exchanges in the arts.

Despite a relatively very short time getting to know each other, it certainly seems like the two first ladies' friendship will continue to grow, and their role in maintaining good inter-Korean ties become more crucial than ever.
