YK Osiris is a young artist from Jacksonville, Florida who went viral after he posted his song "I'm Next (Freestyle)" to Youtube. Since then, he's gained more and more followers. His track "Valentine" has been streamed over 9 million times on Youtube. YK sat down at The FADER to talk about his viral music, what it was like growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, and the heartbreak that inspired "Valentine."
"I was in the studio, in my feelings. A girl just broke my heart," explained YK with a grin. "It was close by Valentine's, I wanted to show her the song. I ain't get to show her because she was still mad at me. Now she love me."
