Gary Cohn, Trump's Former Top Economic Adviser, Was Reportedly Approached By Wells Fargo

Gary Cohn was reportedly approached by Wells Fargo about the bank's CEO position.

Wells Fargo board members are said to have approached Cohn. He was approached soon after his departure from the White House in March.

Business Insider reports Cohn has denied that he was still in talks.

Wells Fargo has been hit by a string of scandals and public relations messes. Most notably the fraudulent accounts scandal that emerged in 2016. The scandal led to the ousting of CEO John Stumpf.
