हॉन्ग कॉन्ग ने 286 रन के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए 50 ओवर में आठ विकेट पर 259 रन बनाए. हॉन्ग कॉन्ग का मध्य और पिछला क्रम दबाव में ढह गया वरना इस मैच का नतीजा कुछ और होता. बावजूद इसके कप्तान अंशुमन रथ ने 73 रनों की बेहतरीन पारी खेली. जबकि निजाकत खान ने 92 रन बनाकर इतिहास ही रच दिया. निजाकत और अंशुमन रथ ने पहले विकेट के लिए कुल 174 रनों की पार्टनरशिप की. ये हांग कांग का अब तक का सबसे बड़ा रिकॉर्ड है.
