Trump Jr. Hits Back: CNN’s Anderson Cooper 'Lied About Me'

Donald Trump Jr, President Trump's son, on Tuesday fired back at CNN’s Anderson Cooper over a flood picture dispute.

Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday fired back at CNN's Anderson Cooper over a flood picture dispute.  "Not surprised @AC360 lied about me on @CNN last night. Par for the course," he wrote on Twitter. "I never said the pic of him was from Florence." "When I tweeted out the picture of @AC360 it was with a link to an article about CNN's dwindling ratings. Nothing to do with Florence," Trump Jr. also noted. The picture in question was taken about a decade ago in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike and showed Copper hip-deep in water while a nearby cameraman was submerged only to his knees.  That Trump Jr. tweet on Sunday read: "It's a shame that CNN's ratings are down 41%. What's worse is there's a simple solution that they refuse to accept. Stop Lying to try to make @realDonaldTrump look bad." As the image made the rounds, it, in some cases, was identified as the picture from Hurricane Florence and used to accuse Cooper of reporting fake-weather-news.  Cooper issued a lengthy response, explaining that he was, at the time, showing how deep the flood water from Hurricane Ike was in some places.  "I don't expect the president's son to ever admit he was wrong or one of the president's former advisers or frankly anyone else who's retweeted these pictures," he also commented. "But I at least thought that they and you should know the truth."
