NFL's Vontae Davis Retires From League Mid-Game The Buffalo Bills cornerback abruptly quit the NFL on Sunday during halftime while the team was playing
the Chargers. The Bills went on to lose to
San Diego, 31-20. Buffalo signed Davis to a one-year deal back in February this year. In comments afterwards, Davis said he meant no disrespect to his teammates and coaches. The 10-year NFL veteran added that physically he could no longer play at the standard he set for himself. Vontae Davis, via statement Davis went on to later make a post about the retirement to his Twitter account.
