According to Newser, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort reached a deal with the special counsel investigation.
On Sept. 14th, about two weeks ahead of his scheduled trial for conspiracy, Manafort pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States, and one count of obstruction of justice.
Prosecutor Andrew Weissman said in court that Manafort struck a cooperation agreement with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office, resulting in a plea deal.
