Backstreet Boy Nick Carter Won't Be Charged In Rape Allegation

Prosecutors declined to file charges on Tuesday against Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. Last year a singer reported that she had been raped in 2003 by Carter, says Channel 24. Melissa Schuman, of the group Dream, was 18 at the time. That means the statute of limitations for prosecution had expired in 2013. Schuman said it's unfortunate that California won't accommodate victims like her. Carter's lawyer said the singer feels vindicated.
