1.Take 2 cups chickpea flour, add cumin seeds,carom seeds,dry fenugreek leaves, crush and add it. Make coarse powder from black pepper and cloves, add it ,add coarsely ground coriander, red chilli powder. 2. Add finely chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, asafoetida baking soda, salt, oil, Mix all ingredients well. Add water in small quantity knead stiff dough. Grease hands with oil. Smoothen dough. Cover and keep the dough for 10 minutes. 3. Heat up oil in wok. Meanwhile, grease hands with oil. Divide dough in small parts. Grease board with some oil. Make the roll same as that of the gatta. 4. Once rolled into log , cut the gattas. Check oil by putting a gatta to fry. Oil should be medium hot. Once hot put gattas to fry. Meanwhile roll and cut rest of the gattas likewise. 5. After 5 minutes of frying put the flame to high, Fry well until golden brown then take them out. Fry all the gattas likewise.
Serving : 6.Bite sized Gatta Namkeen snacks make perfect combination with tea. As it cools down completely, keep in an air tight container.Relish it for 1 to 2 months.
