California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation aimed at blocking the Trump administration’s plan to open offshore waters to new oil and gas drilling.
As he signed the legislation on Friday, Brown said, “California’s message to the Trump administration is simple: Not here, not now. We will not let the federal government pillage public lands and destroy our treasured coast.
