U.S. special envoy on North Korea holds talks with senior South Korean officials
  • 6 years ago
Visiting U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun met this morning with South Korea's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha and his South Korean counterpart Lee Do-hoon.
It's his first trip as the special envoy... and as much as the ball for North Korea-U.S. talks seems to be rolling again,... Biegun's visit comes at a highly significant time.
Biegun and Lee are expected to continue sharing views on the current situation, including the results of the special envoys' trip to North Korea last week.
Biegun will visit Seoul's unification ministry and the presidential office later, before leaving for China and Japan on Wednesday.
Biegun is due back in Seoul sometime this week to share the results of his talks in Beijing and Tokyo.
