Next week, the government will introduce the National Procurement Commission Bill to parliament.

Minister for Finance James Marape announced in parliament today that the Bill intends to have standing regulations that will give emphasis to local content.

He said the Bill will specify local contracts for local companies, putting a ceiling for contracts under 10 million for local companies only to bid.

He called on all members of parliament to be present next week to support the Bill.
