Kieni residents threaten to storm Mt. Kenya water intakes if gov't fails to act

Residents of Kieni constituency have threatened to stage demonstrations led by their Member of Parliament Kanini Kega, to protest the acute water shortage that has gripped the area for the past few weeks.

The residents have called on the ministry of water to restore the water supply or they will be forced to storm Mt. Kenya forest and divert water to their area.
