After two amazing days riding in Northwest Arkansas at IMBA World Summit, Alex and I headed out into one of the most remote areas of the Ozark Mountains to ride an IMBA Epic Certified trail system known as Upper Buffalo River. To make a long story short, things didn't work out the way we planned, and I found myself trying to get Alex's shoulder back into its socket with zero experience in the matter.

Alex won't be riding for a bit, as we now know. At the time, we really didn't know much about dislocated shoulders, but it seems there is a fair amount of recovery time before he should go hard on it again.

The fact that he's cool with me putting this footage up is a testament to how humble of a guy Alex is. His channel revolves around riding the gnarliest trails in the world, yet he fell on a little rock on a relatively smooth switchback. If you ain't falling, you ain't riding.

Although everything turned out okay, it made me realize how unprepared I am for these situations. It could have been a half inch margin that meant him getting back on the bike, or his whole arm popping out of its socket. I'm going to take the time to prepare for future scenarios, having experienced this.

For those of you who do want to see this from Alex's perspective, you should subscribe to his channel now. He's on a road trip and is backlogged with videos to upload, but his camera view will eventually be up. So, show Alex some love, subscribe to his growing channel, and as always, thanks for riding with me today, and I'll see you next time.
